Which edition should you check?

Start with the product you actually bought: the base game, a Digital Deluxe bundle, a separate upgrade, or a regional physical package. An included bonus is not necessarily available from every storefront or every purchase date.

The official Steam listing identifies a Standard purchase and a Digital Deluxe bundle containing the base game with the Magitek & Grimoire Deluxe Pack. It also lists a separate Deluxe upgrade. Compare your receipt with those names before buying an upgrade a second time.

Preorder and early-purchase bonuses are different

A preorder offer is tied to a purchase before the specified release cutoff. An early-purchase offer can have a later deadline. The existence of one does not establish eligibility for the other.

As this guide is being written after the listed launch date, do not assume an old “preorder now” result describes an offer you can still claim with a new purchase. Keep the receipt or order confirmation showing the relevant purchase date, storefront and region.

How do you claim eligible in-game items?

The Steam product terms direct eligible players to the postbox in front of the inn in the Town of Mitra, after progressing far enough in the game.

  1. Confirm that your order includes the relevant bonus or add-on.
  2. Progress until the Town of Mitra postbox described by the store is accessible.
  3. Check the postbox for the eligible contents.
  4. For appearance items, read the store’s instructions for enabling the corresponding key in the Items menu.

Do not assume an account has lost a bonus just because the contents are not available before that point. If eligibility is unclear, compare the original purchase terms before making another purchase.

Check the exact deadline on your storefront

The checked Steam page gives the early-purchase Squire Kickstart Pack cutoff as 6 November 2026, 8:59 a.m. PT. That is a Steam-page statement, not a universal cutoff for all territories or platforms. It names a Blessed Cuirass and a Mist Ether as the pack contents.

Regional product pages can express release and cutoff times on a different calendar date. Retain the source timezone when comparing an order; do not silently treat a Japanese date, a North American date and local console time as the same value.

What about the official guide book?

Square Enix’s Japanese store lists an official complete guide and setting-materials collection, released on 22 October 2026, in B5 format with 272 pages. We have verified that product listing, not read or reproduced the book.

We have not confirmed an official English edition. A third-party retail title containing “official” is not enough to establish that status. Check the publisher’s catalogue and language information before ordering. This site does not host scans, downloadable copies or mirrored book files.
